Pre- and Post-Sales Applications Engineer
The Job:
Office-based in Bangalore, India, you will provide support and act as technical contact for many of our customers world-wide. You will be involved in the following:
- Provision of demonstration and test programs based around our Intel based CPU products and around other switched fabric technologies
- Testing and installation of several industry-standard operating systems
- Provision of technical back-up to our sales force, both pre-sales and post-sales, and generation of appropriate supporting documentation
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Electronic Engineering, with experience in several of the following:
- Knowledge of x86 architecture or other 32/64-bit microprocessors
- A good understanding of PCI or PCI Express
- C, and assembly languages
- System administration using Linux
- Preferably VxWorks, or other real-time operating systems
- Systems programming for Windows XP or Linux
- Experience in device driver development would be "a plus"
- Knowledge of VME, CompactPCI or VPX (PCIe, SRIO or GbE/10GbE) bus architectures
The ability to communicate effectively with the company's customers at an engineering level, both verbally and in writing, is an important additional requirement as is the ability to work as part of a team.
