Engineering Technician
We sell into many different markets around the world, but in particular we have a number of high-performance processor and other boards used in telecommunications and aerospace applications.
We now have a vacancy for an additional
Engineering Technician to work in our busy Engineering lab on the development and testing of new products from our two engineering teams.
The Job An Engineering Technician should expect to be involved in a wide range of tasks over time, providing a very good base for future career development in the high technology sector. Over the first 12 months, they can expect to be involved in the following: After 2 years, they can expect to be involved in:
Qualification testing for Shock & Vibration and EMC.
Creation of hardware test fixtures, including documenting them.
Creation
and maintenance of software scripts.
Fault finding of computer hardware to component level. Essential requirements:
Ability to multi-task. The successful candidate should also have an ability to organise and
prioritise their own work. We have a dynamic lab environment where the
ability to switch tasks quickly and multi-task are essential. It will
not suit those who enjoy routine. The successful candidate will also
show good inter-personal skills and have good practical skills.
