Linux: Execution from On-Board Flash Memory

Following various customer requests, Concurrent Technologies has developed a Linux Map Module (and application note) to interface to the Linux MTD driver. Therefore, via the MTD driver, Linux can be booted from the onboard Flash using Grub and enables the customer application to read/write data into a separate partition.

Key benefits? Removes the need for a hard disk - vastly improving the board's MTBF and its ability to withstand shock and vibration.
